Interface of solidThinking

This is the interface in solidThinking. As we can see here, the interface is very user friendly, and we can understand the function of an icon easily. In the tool panel, there are many parameters that we can adjust and use for each command, which gives you flexibility to explore your designs, and also to enhance the design. The construction tree is one a powerful features in solidThinking. With construction tree, you can change the surface of your model anytime.

What are Parametric Objects?

Parametric object is defined by the values of certain parameters. Users can put the amount or the parameter to shape an object. In solidThinking, you can adjust the parameter, which can be done in the tool panel.

What are NURBS?

As mentioned before, solidThinking are based on NURBS curves in making a surface and solids. The Question is, what are NURBS? NURBS means Non-Uniform, Rational, Basis Splines.NURBS is a mathematical model commonly used in computer graphics for
generating and representing curves and surfaces which offers great flexibility and precision for handling both analytic and freeform shapes.NURBS geometry a actually a mathematical expressions of curves in a virtual, 3D space. It is based on these algorithms which are extremely fast and stable- so you can represent any desired shape.Their shapes are controlled by points in space called Control Vertices or “CVs” (Points).
